Munnar: For the second consecutive day, Munnar has been gripped by exceptionally cold weather. On Tuesday morning, the temperature in Mattupatti Chenduvara plummeted to a chilling one degree Celsius, resulting in widespread snowfall blanketing the meadows in the area.

The lowest recorded temperatures were two degrees Celsius in Munnar Town, Lakshmi Estate, and Devikulam, while Silent Valley registered a slightly warmer three degrees Celsius. The mornings and evenings have been particularly frigid, although a bright sun has been shining in the afternoons across Munnar. On Monday morning, the temperature dipped to a freezing zero degrees Celsius. As the cold spell continues, a surge of tourists is anticipated.

After a three-week period of milder weather, temperatures have once again fallen to zero in these areas. Weather forecasts indicate that temperatures may continue to decline in the coming days.
